OilDri UK - Spill absorbent manufacturer

Following on from the 5 yearly EICR, there were major issues discovered in parts of the Bagging area installation. Incorrect protective devices, Ingress protection not met, Poor lighting, Old technology control system and redundant Socket outlets, switches and cabling as far as the eye could see!!

A planned shutdown allowed us the small window required to fully identify, remove, relocate and reinstall the above equipment to a more user friendly location. We installed JCC LED non-corrosive light fittings, Gewiss 1ph and 3ph RCD sockets, Click metal clad sockets and switches, A Crabtree 3ph MCCB panel and a 3ph Distribution board.

Another string to our bow comes in the form of being able to build and install control panels in-house as seen to the left and below.

After the owners insurance company had requested an EICR be completed due to the age of the property, there were multiple issues to address.

As seen below the installed equipment just wasn't to regulation and required upgrading.
Other remedial works included multiple Sub-main upgrades, Consumer unit relocation, replacement of the Sub-main fused switches including a complete overhaul of the mains potion setup.

Some of the issues discovered were,
-
Undersized Sub-main cables.
-
Damaged Sub-main cables.
-
Unidentified circuits.
-
Incorrect protective device ratings.
-
Undersized meter tails.
-
Multiple circuits in one protective device.
